BECOME A WATER HERO!

CONTEST UNTIL THE END OF MAY: WIN YANNICK BERGERON'S SHOW AT SCHOOL!

GENERATION ACTION: A MOVEMENT FOR THE CLIMATE

Climate change is a long-term change in weather conditions identified by temperature, precipitation, or winds, and which results from increased heat in the atmosphere.

If our planet warms up too much due to human-generated emissions, it is possible that it will experience more phenomena such as drought, floods and violent winds.

If climate action is neglected, the negative effects of climate change will become even more evident. Take action against climate change and become a water hero! Make way for the GénérationAction movement!

The Centre d'interprétation de l'eau de Laval (C.I.EAU) has joined the national program GénérationAction to mobilize young people for the climate.

C.I.EAU is one of 30 science centers across the country offering activities to raise young people’s awareness of climate change issues, with the aim of encouraging the next generation of climate heroes and heroines. GenerationAction’s mission is ambitious: to reach over 200,000 young people by 2024.

A water challenge launched by C.I.EAU
C.I.EAU is launching a challenge aimed at primary and secondary school children. It focuses on the impact of climate change on water, and is divided into two parts: Biodiversity and the preservation of WATER resources.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Take part in C.I.EAU’s climate-related water challenge with the Deviens un Superéco contest! Your actions will contribute to the GénérationAction movement and give you a chance to win a prize!

THE SCHOOL COMPETITION

Enter to win a Yannick Bergeron show at your school or an outing to the Biosphère!

In collaboration with the organizers, the C.I.EAU is launching a challenge to young people in primary and secondary schools in the Laval region. The aim is to raise their awareness of climate change through water-related scientific activities.

Motivate as many students as possible to take part in the C.I.EAU challenge and win a prize for your school!

C.I.EAU offers science teachers a wide range of interesting tools for raising awareness of the realities of climate change throughout the school year.

The Magic of Chemistry show will be offered on May 31, 325 students per performance (2 maximum). The Biosphère field trip will be awarded to the school with the second-highest score. The school will be informed of its victory and will be free to award the field trip to a class in its school.
