Join a water or wastewater specialist on a guided tour of a water or wastewater treatment plant. A guided tour of a plant is the perfect way to inform participants about the various drinking water or wastewater treatment processes and how they work. The tour is enriched by demonstration equipment and ingenious explanatory panels, as well as pertinent commentary by the animator.
Several stations are available:
Please note that the drinking water stations are available to students in3rd cycle primary school and above, while the wastewater stations are available to students in1st cycle secondary school and above. The tour is age-appropriate. It’s just as relevant for children as it is for adults!
Each tour lasts around 2 hours.
The activity is available for groups of 30 participants.
For eligible schools during announced registration periods – limited free admission. General public, stay tuned for date announcements!
Since this activity takes place in an industrial environment, there are a few rules to observe. Participants must wear long pants and closed shoes. Electronic devices, food and beverages are not permitted in the station. Bags are also to be avoided. However, a small checkroom will be available before the tour begins. In addition, the animator will need an attendance list of all participants the day before the activity.
